Cal State Northridge Offers Aidan Prukop

Already holding offers from Bucknell, Montana State, UC Riverside, Cal State Fullerton, South Utah and Cal Poly (as per Verbal Commits), the Mater Dei Monarch shooting guard has picked up an offer from Mark Gottfriend in the Valley.

Prukop, mainly known for his ability to scorch the nets from anywhere on the court, has had a solid summer thus far with Cal Stars Elite. Long time High School & AAU, Gerry Freitas was impressed by the play of Prukop during the SoCal Spring Tipoff, writing:

One of the best shooters viewed on the weekend. Great feel for the game and can make plays for others with good ball skills. Can create separation from defender. Improving defender on the ball. – Freitas wrote on Prephoops

Mater Dei, led by the legendary Coach Gary McKnight, has their eyes set on winning the CIF Southern Section and CIF-State title’s during 2019-20, with Prukop being a key part in opening up the lanes for Devin Askew, his fellow guard, to operate. As a junior, Prukop scored just under 12 points a night, while posting a positive assist to turnover ratio, according to MaxPreps.

Defensively, Prukop is greatly improving his man coverage, while always having been a solid team defender that buys into the gameplan.

A sharpshooter with a high basketball IQ always has a spot on a basketball roster, hopefully, Prukop will join the Matadors after a fruitful senior campaign.
